What does the term au pair?

The term "au pair" comes from the French and means something like "mutual help’’

For us this means a family member.The au pair is not a domestic help, but only one family member to time.

Legal framework for au pairs?

Recording the au pair as a member of the family

Free board and lodging

Provide a separate room available within the apartment / house

Opportunity for the au pair at least twice weekly to take a language course to take.

Compliance with the maximum working time of 30 hours a week (including baby-sitting), max. 6 hours per day.

1.5 consecutive free days per week, at least once a month on a Sunday fall.

4 Free evenings a week.

Acquisition of medical- accident - liability insurance

Four weeks paid leave for a stay of 12 months,for a shorter stay at least two days per month.

Holidays are generally free, or will be compensated through leisure.

Pocket money in the amount of 260 euro monthly.

Acquisition of the ticket, such as voice charges according to contract design

Length of stay: at least 6 months and a maximum of 12 months

The notice period is 14 days, the period begins with receipt of the letter terminating
